Why source galvanized wire in Türkiye?

Türkiye is a large steel producer. Its crude steel output was 36.9 million tonnes in 2024, up 9.4% on 2023, according to both the World Steel Association and the Turkish Steel Producers Association. Wire for tying, binding and agricultural use is made from that steel by drawing and zinc coating.

Tell us the diameter, the zinc coating weight or class, the standard, the quantity and the destination. If your specification falls outside this range, send it anyway: we check it with manufacturers and say plainly if we cannot supply it.

Shipping galvanized wire coils from Türkiye

Galvanized wire coils usually travel by sea in standard dry containers. Published payload limits run from about 25 to 28.3 tonnes for a 20 ft container and from about 26.8 to 28.8 tonnes for a 40 ft container. The limit that applies is the one for the container actually used.

How many tonnes fit depends on the coil weight, the packaging and the container's weight limit, so the loaded weight is confirmed per order. Our container loading guide explains the figures and what to include in a request.

Standards and coating classes

Galvanized wire supplied from Türkiye is quoted to EN 10244-2 or ASTM A641. Both standards set the zinc coating mass per square metre of wire surface by class and diameter, but each defines its own classes, so we state the standard and class you order rather than converting one into the other.
